Wait, what?? I was just roaming the streets of NYC and saw no signs of this “world book night.” Also, why doesn’t it look as cold for them as it was for me outside? Alternate universe New York?
Internet, who is leaving these Sleep No More missed connections???
Our eyes met across a dark and crowded room. You singled me out among a sea of identical faces, but as soon as our gazes met, I knew at once that you recognized me.
You took me by the hand and led me into a little room which you unlocked with a small key from around your neck. You whispered secrets in my ear for a while and then… I don’t really know what went wrong. I’m not really into the whole religious thing, I’m sorry if my ambivalence offended you. Anyway, I couldn’t find you anywhere the rest of the night. I hope everything’s ok.
Oh, and the whole baby thing is totally not an issue, so please call me - I haven’t been able to sleep a wink since our encounter.
